Bio
Since 2003, Tiiu has successfully recorded four albums, toured nationally, and received national and college radio play, including being a featured artist on CBC Radio’s “Canada Live” program. As Land Heart Song, Tiiu has performed at festivals, including Northern Lights Festival Boreal in Sudbury and SpringTide Music Festival in Uxbridge. A collaborator at heart, Land Heart Song has shared the stage with many nationally acclaimed family music entertainers, including four-time Juno-nominee GinaLina. Land Heart Song is also co-host of KIDZAC, Toronto’s best family-music series at The Tranzac. With KIDZAC, Tiiu works alongside co-host Pete Moss to create a hopping monthly gathering that features the diversity of family music entertainers from across Canada. Land Heart Song has also worked collaboratively with numerous local and national organizations to create meaningful musical workshops and performances that engage families with the natural world. Collaborators include The Child and Nature Alliance of Canada (CNAC) and Natural Curiosity, both national leaders in education.
Land Heart Song’s latest release is “You Belong Here”. The music video was created in collaboration with CNAC and Black in Nature and is featured in CNAC’s online course called Anti-Racism in Outdoor Play. This offering follows Land Heart Song’s 2023 album release, “Songs for Tree”. Produced by Joel Schwartz (Dione Taylor, Shawna Caspi), “Songs for Tree” is a song cycle that follows a child’s relationship with a tree through the seasons.
